A special edition Range Rover Sport to benefit those affected by the recent Tsunami.
When disasters strike around the world automotive companies are often some of the first to offer their aid and support. Back in May of 2011, Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, auctioned off his own personal Rapide for Japan Tsunami victims. The Rapide was sold for £100,000, with the entire amount going to charity. Now, Afzal Kahn is offering his support for the victims with a new special “Miyagi” edition Bali Blue Range Rover Sport.
The Miyagi prefecture of Japan was one of the hardest hit areas by the Tsunami and earthquake. To help benefit this region and others, the new Project Kahn Bali Blue Range Rover Sport has been named the “Miyagi” edition.
“I am a parent myself and it is heartbreaking to see the hardship that these children must endure and we would like to do our bit and help them via a very noble virtue: charity,” said Afzal Kahn. “With regards to the “Miyagi” edition, Land Rover’s decision to no longer offer the Bali Blue color affords A. Kahn Design an opportunity to build a bespoke vehicle that will hopefully be remembered for all the right reasons.”
The new Project Kahn Miyagi edition Bali Blue Range Rover Sport focuses on the driver, creating an exclusive interior and exterior design package. Bespoke quilted leather is worn on the seats, glove box, and dashboard. The steering wheel and gearshift are covered in black leather with contrasting silver stitching. The speedometer, rev counter, and clock are given an electric blue tone to complement the exterior color. Other interior highlights include new stainless steel door entry sills, side vents, and foot pedals for that exclusive style.
One of the most striking aspects of the Project Kahn Miyagi Range Rover Sport is the Bali Blue exterior paint. No longer offered by Range Rover, the paint assures the Range Rover Sport is unique. A ten piece Project Kahn body kit that includes a bespoke front bumper with billet steel fog lamp surrounds, a rear bumper replacement with exhaust diffuser, side skirts, and double-mesh matte black side vents. For a more aggressive look and sound, a new Cosworth stainless steel sport exhaust with quad tailpipes has been installed. Finishing the elegant exterior is a set of 22-inch bespoke RS Cosworth wheels.
The new Project Kahn Miyagi edition Bali Blue Range Rover Sport models are currently available for purchase. Prices for the gasoline models start at £89,000 (+/-142,000 USD), while the diesel models start at £69,000 (+/- 110,000 USD). For more information on donations visit the Kahn News website.
