Old-school hillclimb action.
We’ll never grow tired of the Audi Quattro S1. Its unique five-cylinder exhaust note coupled with a fluttering bypass valve is a lovely motorsports soundtrack as the racecar speeds through the serene wooded hills. There’s nothing like it, and we hope it stays that way.
Thankfully, the Prospeed team has built an Audi Quattro S1 from a road-going Quattro Coupe shell. The car it still competes in hillclimbs and other rally competitions, giving us a dose of vintage 80’s glory in modern-day competitions.
The latest video from 100Octanede features Nikolay Zlatkov driving the Prospeed Audi S1 at the 2012 Bergrennen Mickhausen, speeding through the wet and dry roads.
