Put a ‘Ring’ on it

Nürburgring

We have, once again, missed our chance to own a piece of the Green Hell. A few months ago, an American investment firm was one-upped by a German auto engineering concern whose major stakeholder was the Capricorn Group.

In a strange turn of events, after the ink dried on the 173 million dollar check, Capricorn was unable to meet its obligations and Viktor Kharitonin swooped in and bought Capricorn’s majority share in the famed racetrack. I don’t think we need to worry about Kharitonin’s ability to swing the deal. He has made billions from Pharmstandard (a pharmaceutical company) and its partnership with even more famous billionaire, Roman Abramovich.

Nürburgring

The track has been shoved around like a hot potato, but operations have not been affected.

We’re looking forward to a more stable future for the legendary Nürburgring.

Would you buy the Nürburgring if it was for sale?
