Warm weather is finally here or at least right around the corner for those living up north. The cold, snowy, and dreary days of winter are finally behind us and Senner Tuning is celebrating with a new Audi RS 5 Cabriolet upgrade package with all sorts of goodies that will make driving with the top down an awesome experience.
Starting things off is tuned version of the 4.2-liter, high-revving V-8 engine under the hood. Senner Tuning gave the RS 5 Cabriolet a full software tune and a few other modifications along with a full valve-controlled exhaust system. The exhaust has three modes: travel, sports, and race, that can all be altered by the push of a button and displayed in the MMI screen in the dashboard. Power is readily on tap thanks to a new power converter that sharpens up the throttle response.
After the upgrades the Senner Tuning Audi RS 5 Cabriolet pumps out 504 horsepower and 353 lb-ft. of torque that fills the open-air cabin with rumbling V-8 exhaust note. The new boost in power allows the ragtop to accelerate to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds and exceed the factory 186 mph top speed thanks to the removal of the factory speed limiter.
All 504 ponies reach the asphalt through a set of deep concave wheels and a more dynamic chassis. A KW Variant 3 coilover suspension reduces ride height and gives drivers the ability to alter rebound and compression damping for sharper handling dynamics. The smooth lines and brushed aluminum trim pieces are complemented by a set of one-piece, five-spoke MB DESIGN KV 1 wheels with a deep concave design that visually adds some muscle. Senner Tuning installed the one-piece wheels in a 10.5 x 20 setup at the front and rear with 275/30R20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires for loads of grip. Finishing off the exterior styling on the Senner Tuning Audi RS 5 Cabriolet is a new semi-gloss carbon fiber rear spoiler and LED license plate lighting.
Inside, things are more enjoyable thanks to a new DVD player and convertible module. Senner Tuning’s new soft-top control module opens and closes the convertible top at the push of a button and allows for the top to be operated at speeds of up to 37 mph (60 km/h).
