Inspired writing performance.
Porsche may not be known for its writing instruments, but its Porsche Design brand is, and has been for quite some time since its start in 1972. Many of the brand’s products showcase the same purist form and design as the German automaker, helping to create many successful fashion and lifestyle accessories that range from mobile phones to clothing lines.
Porsche Design has just unveiled their new lineup of writing instruments consisting of the P’3115 LaserFlex, P’3140 Shake Pen Twist Black, and the P’3110 TecFlex line.
The new P’3115 LaserFlex is a unique, flexible stainless steel pen with a very flexible design. An innovative function allows the barrel to respond to the pressure of the writer’s hand after pushing the mechanism. After the refill appeared, the laser slots contract and expand and create a flexible feel for the writer. The ballpoint P’3115 LaserFlex pen wears the Porsche Design logo laser etched onto the clip and end. Both the clip and the front section are made from high-quality stainless steel. The P’3115 LaserFlex ballpoint pen is available for 395 Euros.
Another new and exciting addition to the Porsche Design writing utensil lineup is the P’3140 Shake Pen Twist – the world’s fastest ballpoint pen. The new pen features a milled aluminum barrel formed into a unique twisted shape while the front, end, and barrel is covered in a special scratch-resistant, durable PVD mate black coating made from very small pieces of titanium. The P’3140 Shake Pen Twist utilizes an innovative shake mechanism that dispenses the ballpoint tip at a quick flick of the wrist, while another rapid flick retracts the tip. The fast ballpoint pen measures just 11 cm and has a projection end cap to prevent rolling. The P’3140 Shake Pen Twist Black will be available through Porsche Design shops for 150 Euros.
Porsche Design also updated and unveiled a new look for their P’3110 TecFlex Writing Tools. Complementing the current P’3110 TecFlex gold and silver lines are the new black models. Stainless steel threads are interwoven and create each barrel of the writing utensils and are finished with matte black chrome, along with the front and end parts, including the mechanical pencil, ballpoint pen, rollerball pen, and fountain pen.
The fountain pen in the P’3110 TecFlex line features a rhodanised 18 carat gold nib, while the ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils boast a clean, purist design. The TecFlex line utilizes a special TecFlex oil tube similar to those used in engines to give the mechanism a new look inside of the flexible material. Each writing tool features a strong construction with a comfortable grip to make writing enjoyable. The P’3110 TecFlex fountain pen is available for 460 Euros, the rollerball pen for 325 Euros, and the mechanical pencil or ballpoint pen for 230 Euros.
