A one-of-a-kind model for a very special client.
Forty-five years ago Peter Kalikow became a Ferrari client when he took delivery of his first Ferrari. Now a New York collector and avid Ferrari enthusiast, Mr. Kalikow will be taking delivery of a very special car from the Italian automaker; the Ferrari Superamerica 45. Built in-house and styled by Ferrari Design, the new Superamerica 45 will be a one-off car made specifically to Peter Kalikow’s specifications.
The design of the one-off Ferrari Superamerica 45 is entirely new and custom-tailored. A new carbon fiber rotating hardtop with rear screen is the center of attention and folds away into an aerodynamically-optimized carbon fiber trunk. The entire car is dressed in a fine Blu Antille paint to match the 1961 400 Superamerica cabriolet nr. 2331SA in Mr. Kalikow’s collection. Both the rear buttresses and wheel arches are body colored and feature new quarterlights. At the front, the Superamerica 45 wears an exclusive chrome grille, fenders with double air vents, and brushed aluminum A-pillars, side mirrors, and door handles.
The special Ferrari one-off also features a number of performance enhancing components. Ferrari has fitted a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, and side skirts in a dark blue for added downforce and high-speed stability. New lightweight wheels have been added in a Blu Antille finish with contrasting diamond spokes for an exclusive aesthetic.
Inside the Superamerica 45 is finished in a dark blue carbon fiber dash trim and driver zone. The finest Cuoio leather and Blu Scuro carbon fiber are used throughout the cockpit for a sporty yet luxurious feel. Ferrari has also installed their latest touch-screen infotainment system for convenience.
The Ferrari Superamerica 45 will make its public debut at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza.
