Goodwood Revival 2012.
Since 1995, people from around the world have been able to experience vintage road and motorcycle racing at the Goodwood Revival with a true, old-fashioned experience. The event is the only one of its type held in the UK and is three-day festival that celebrates the history of racing.
At the 2012 event, the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows made an appearance to celebrate their 75th anniversary and participated in a race during the event along with legendary drivers like Sir “Jackie” Stewart. The W25 cars were super sports cars in their time and featured a 4.3-liter, 400 horsepower inline-eight engine. Driving the cars was a bit different than what we’re used to, with the brake pedal being on the left, throttle in the middle, and clutch to the right; while every shift necessitates a double-clutch effort.
