For an SUV, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo is an impressive machine as it boasts some pretty incredible performance figures for a bigger vehicle. It may be an SUV, but it’s packed with potential and the team at TechArt took full advantage of it with their new Magnum upgrade program for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
The 4.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine packed into the Cayenne Turbo is loaded with power and potential waiting to be tapped into. The TechArt engineers developed the new PowerKit TA 058/T2 with the Techtronic engine management system that can be activated and deactivated by the interior sport button. Pressing the special sport button pushes output all the way to 660 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 649 lb-ft. of torque from 4,100 to 4,500 RPM while acceleration drops to 4.2 seconds to 62 mph and 15.1 seconds to 124 mph. Top speed rises to 190 mph (305 km/h). A TechArt sport exhaust system made from stainless steel with polished stainless steel mufflers and end pipes helps liven up the engine’s voice and reduces backpressure even more. The engine even looks more powerful as TechArt installed an engine optics package with carbon fiber cylinder head and engine covers and flash red highlights.
The increase in power and performance is shown through the dramatic exterior design package from TechArt that transforms the SUV into an eye-catching vehicle. High-quality polyurethane RIM forms all of the components, starting with the new front bumper with gaping air intakes to improve brake and engine cooling, integrated daytime running lights, and xenon twin headlights. A carbon fiber hood helps to reduce weight and features integrated vents to optimize temperatures in the engine bay. Each side of the TechArt Magnum Porsche Cayenne Turbo is a total of 92 mm wider thanks to new side skirts and extended fenders for a muscular appearance. The rear of the SUV wears a new roof spoiler and three-piece taillight panel with integrated spoiler lip, and rear apron for a more dynamic look.
Tying in performance and style is a newly modified chassis that allows for more dynamic handling and wheels that fill in the large fenders. The TechArt sport air suspension lowers the overall ride height and automatically alters height depending on speed. Three different standard wheels and one forged wheel option is available for the TechArt Magnum with a variety of colors and finishes in diameters from 20- to 23-inches to create the perfect stance for the powerful SUV.
While the TechArt Magnum Porsche Cayenne is powerful on the outside and under the hood, things are luxurious and comfortable inside. An exclusive de Sede of Switzerland Classic” full leather trim with comfort upholstery and leather pillows for the individual rear seats makes rides even more enjoyable while two different styling packages can improve upon this even further with carbon fiber graphite grey and decorative red stitching. Drivers benefit from a new TechArt three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with leather and carbon fiber trim as well as Galvano silver shift paddles. As an option, customers can order the TechArt W2 entertainment package that includes headrest-mounted rear seat displays and console, and a 12-volt outlet, cup holder, and cool box integrated into the rear seating area.
The TechArt Magnum Porsche Cayenne Turbo upgrade program is currently available from the German company as a complete package or as individual accessories.
