And throws down on the dyno!
It’s sad to see the current-generation of Dodge Viper have its production brought to an end. It’s an American motoring icon with its monstrous engine, exotic design, and super car performance. Hennessey Performance isn’t saying ‘goodbye’ but rather ‘hello’ to more power thanks to their supercharged Venom 800 upgrade program.
The 8.4-liter, naturally-aspirated V-10 engine gains a hefty boost in power that make it even more venomous and intimidating. The Hennessey Performance Venom 800 supercharged engine upgrade adds on a high-flow supercharger system churning out 5.0 PSI of boost pressure while an air-to-air intercooler keeps temperatures regulated. A new set of high-flow fuel injectors, 3.0-inch stainless steel exhaust, and full ECU software calibration and modification leads to a whopping 808 bhp at 6,200 RPM and 790 lb-ft. of torque.
That’s good enough to send the Viper to 60 mph from rest in 2.9 seconds while the quarter-mile run is done in just 10.5 seconds at 143 mph.
Also included in the Hennessey Venom 800 package is a new set of floor mats, exterior and interior badges, and serial numbered dash and engine plaques.
The new Hennessey Performance Venom 800 supercharged engine upgrade is currently available for the 2013-2017 Dodge Viper, GTS, and ACR model variants.
