Who needs wings when you have wheels like this?
German tuner, wheelsandmore, has already taken a few Mercedes-Benz sports cars such as the C 63 AMG, SLR, and CLS 63 AMG to another level. The SLS AMG however, seemed to be mysteriously missing from the lineup. Other tuning companies had already developed a host of upgrade programs that ranged from the mild exhaust modification to the wild carbon fiber body transformation. The German company is finally in the game with their latest wheelsandmore Mercedes SLS AMG tuning program.
The upgrade program for the 6.2-liter V-8 engine may not be radical, but it does provide the driver with more than enough horsepower and torque. The wheelsandmore SLS benefits from a new, handcrafted stainless steel exhaust system with remote controlled valve flaps that allows for different levels of sound, and a new ECU tune. These upgrades result in a whopping 635 naturally-aspirated horsepower and 524 lb-ft. of torque.
wheelsandmore also gave the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG a new, more aggressive stance. The team first installed a full ultra light aluminum race coilover system with adjustable rebound and compression for optimum handling characteristics. The wheelsandmore Mercedes SLS was then equipped with new 6Sporz², three-piece wheels in a 9.5 x 20 and 11 x 21 front and rear axle setup. With the addition of these 6Sporz² wheels, the tuner was able to shed unnecessary unsprung mass for better overall performance. New Continental Sport Contact tires in 265/30/20 front and 295/25/21 rear sizes were installed for maximum grip and handling.
The wheelsandmore SLS AMG was then given matte black and copper racing stripes for a unique and sporty appearance.
All of the wheelsandmore SLS AMG upgrades are currently available from the German tuner as an entire package or individual accessories. Pricing has not been released.
