In Great Falls, Virginia, automotive enthusiasts and car owners gather to look at and admire sports cars, classic cars, exotics, and everything in between. The show, called Katie’s Cars & Coffee attracts hundreds of people and is one of the best places to see some rare and special vehicles.
This past Saturday, it wasn’t exactly a fun time for one Ferrari 458 Speciale owner and the driver of a Mercedes-Benz 380SL Roadster.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale was parked parallel next to the curb on the street during the show, attracting attention just like any Prancing Horse of its stature would. A woman driving a classic Mercedes-Benz 380SL with a few passengers decided that she would try to parallel park next to the hardcore Ferrari.
But that plan immediately went to hell when she completely botched the park job and backed up into and over the front of the 458 Speciale. The alarm immediately went off and the woman attempted to drive forward only to lose traction because the car was stuck.
A crowd quickly gathered to document the situation and the driver, passengers, and children inside the Mercedes-Benz got out to assess the situation. The owner, visibly and understandably very agitated walked over to discover what happened, in disbelief.
The Mercedes-Benz was able to free itself from the hood of the Ferrari, but the damage was already done.
This is easily one of the most expensive failed parking jobs that you’ll ever see, and our condolences go out to the Ferrari owner.
