It has a removable Targa top, all-wheel drive, sleek and stunning lines, and sports car performance. The Porsche 911 Targa 4 is a perfect everyday sports car, but the team at TechArt has bigger and better ideas for the innovative 911 with new aerodynamics, wheels, exhausts, and more.
The new 991-generation Porsche 911 Targa 4 is a fresh, modern interpretation of the classic models that were restricted by impending laws in the United States. That same B-pillar aluminum Targa bar, glass roof, and taillight strip has become a hallmark for the model and TechArt has taken steps to add some visual character and sport to the sports car with their new lightweight fiber composite and polyurethane RIM Aerodynamic kit.
The TechArt Porsche 911 Targa 4 wears a more dynamic face thanks to a two-part front spoiler with integrated splitter that generates a considerable amount of downforce at the front axle. This is paired up with new aero wings integrated into the air intakes and air outlet grille. Running towards the rear are a pair of side skirts that visually lower the ride height and add to the profile of the Targa 4. The fatter butt provided by the factory widebody wears a new rear spoiler wing for added downforce and stability, that sits above a diffuser add-on integrated into the bumper. Other visual upgrades can be added in the form of trim sets for the headlights and side mirrors. All of the new aerodynamics can be purchased in a painted, carbon fiber, matte, or glossy finish.
Adding to the overall look of the new TechArt Porsche 911 Targa 4 are new wheels paired up with a more dynamic suspension. TechArt Formula IV light alloy five, twin-spoke wheels can be fitted in either 20- or 21-inch setups with bi-color or individual color finishes. As an option, owners can also choose the lightweight Formula III wheels in a 21-inch diameter with a range of individual or bi-color finishes as well as a ceramic burnished glossy smooth finish. The wheel setup is complemented by a TechArt Sport Spring kit that lowers the overall ride height and a hydraulic Noselift System that raises the front axle by 45 mm at speeds under 60 km/h.
Inside, TechArt incorporates many elements of the exterior into the cockpit with its in-house saddlery department. Illuminated aluminum door entry guards, aluminum sport pedals, an aluminum foot rest, and black leather floor mats with carbo black leather piping decorate below the waistline. A number of different Carbon Interior Styling Packages add new trim pieces throughout the cabin for an extra touch of sport. Drivers benefit from a three-spoke ergonomic sport steering wheel with decorative stitching and integrate matte black paddle shifters, and a new set of green instrument dials.
As of now, the TechArt Porsche 911 Targa 4 does not have any engine tuning solutions, however the German company isn’t letting it leave empty-handed. The engine can be equipped with an Exhaust System Sport with valve control that allows drivers to alter the sound of their flat-six engine along with a set of Sport Tailpipes in stainless steel with embossed TechArt logos in a black chrome finish.
The new TechArt Porsche 911 Targa 4 upgrade program is currently available as a complete package or as individual accessories inside and out. Pricing has not been released.
