We can’t handle this right now.
Dodge has been in the news the past year for their ridiculously, unnecessarily awesome ideas to shove a 707-horsepower, supercharged V-8 into the SRT Challenger and SRT Charger. Those Hellcats caused all sorts rubber-burning ruckus but this… boosted thing of beauty is a pure American psycho.
The new Viper TA is basically the more performance-oriented version of the super snake that has all the good stuff needed to go around the track just a tad bit faster. That massive 8.4-liter V-10 engine usually provides more than enough power from the factory. Usually. I mean, how can 640 bhp and 600 lb-ft. not be, right?
Well, the team at RSI Racing Solutions threw caution to the wind and came up with a full twin-turbocharger kit for the Viper. This E85-drinking sonofabitch also lays down 1042 horsepower at the rear wheels with 9.5 PSI of boost. Why? Because it freaking can.
