Volvo Trucks have been cranking out some pretty good commercials lately, whether they’re starring Jean-Claude Van Damme doing a split or a truck dangling from a crane. Their latest, directed by Henry-Alex Rubin, involves a valet at a casino in the Italian Riviera having quite the interesting first day.
At San Remo Casino, Volvo had set up hidden cameras outside the entrance to film the new valet and coordinated a fake crowd. He parked various sports cars and classics for the wealthy clientele to start his night, but his most memorable was the Volvo truck with the new I-Shift Dual Clutch. The truck showed up to an astonished valet who was left speechless as to how to drive or park the big truck.
The whole point of the commercial was to show that the new I-Shift Dual Clutch transmission is more like driving a sports car instead of a big, hulking truck.
