The new BMW F80 M3/F82 M4 models have effectively replaced the E9X-generation M3 coupe, convertible, and sedan with their array of new technology, motorsports-inspired advancements, new design, and added power. But the E9X-generation BMW M3, especially the E92 isn’t going to just leave quietly, thanks to Vorsteiner and their new BMW E92 M3 GTRS3 Widebody kit.
The new Vorsteiner BMW E92 M3 GTRS3 Widebody is aimed at showing off the power and potential sitting beneath the sheetmetal of the Bavarian sports car. The widebody was inspired by motorsports, and resembles that of the now-retired BMW M3 GT car that competed in the American Le Mans Series.
Everything in the new widebody is designed for performance and has a function. The front fascia stares ahead with a new front bumper that features a larger air intake to send cool air to the front brakes and a spoiler lip that generates downforce at the front axle. The bumper flows into the extended front wheel arches with integrated vents to dissipate heat around the wheel and brakes while giving the M3 some visual muscle.
Moving towards the rear of the car, the Vorsteiner E92 M3 GTRS3 Widebody incorporates a set of extended side skirts that connect the widened front and rear fenders. The latter also features vertical vents to help reduce temperatures in the rear wheel wells that house a pair of 325 tires. The rear bumper perfectly meshes into the rear wheel arches and boasts a diffuser with integrated quad exhaust outlets for some added stability at high speeds. The final touch is a new trunklid that curves upwards to form a small spoiler lip for a bit of extra downforce at high speeds.
The new Vorsteiner BMW E92 M3 GTRS3 Widebody is for the enthusiast looking to have optimum aerodynamics as well as a commanding design that will turn heads on and off the track. Pricing for the full kit and other accessories have not been released.
