The BMW M4 has become a quick favorite for aftermarket tuning companies since it first hit the marketplace due to its superb driving dynamics and the fact that its turbocharged engine is packed with potential. VOS took advantage of the platform and their Austin Yellow Metallic show car is ready to tear up the track.
The 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine with 425 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and 406 lb-ft. of torque at 1,850 RPM gets a healthy increase in power thanks to VOS. The team worked their German magic to increase output to 542 horsepower and 524 lb-ft. of torque paired with a top speed that’s been pushed back to 193 mph. That also comes with a valve-controlled stainless steel exhaust system with middle and rear mufflers for a bit more grunt and growl. The power boost is available for 2,490 Euros while the exhaust comes in at 4,850 Euros.
The added power from VOS comes with greater responsibility, which is why the BMW M4 was fitted with new brakes. The front axle comes in with six-piston Brembo calipers with two-piece 380 x 34 mm racing discs while the rear wears a pair of four-piston Brembo calipers clenching two-piece 380 x 28 mm racing discs for more reliable stopping power. The front and rear setup will set owners back 5,425- and 4,425 Euros, respectively.
Also hiding under the fenders of the BMW M4 are new wheels and a more athletic suspension. The VOS team installed a new KW Variant 3 coilover suspension for 4,199 Euros that sharpens up handling to carve up corners with ease. Touching the pavement are new 255/30 R20 and 275/30 R20 Vredestein performance tires on 9.0 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear gloss black BBS wheels.
Carbon fiber also makes an appearance on the exterior of the BMW M4 and perfectly contrasts the Austin Yellow Metallic paint. The side mirrors both wear the lightweight material while a diffuser helps to optimize airflow at the rear.
