At age 13, many of us were dreaming of driving cars and admiring posters of supercars hanging on our bedroom walls. Driving a rally car at that age was a pipedream.
Kalle Rovanperä has been driving rally cars since he was only eight-years-old thanks to his father being Finnish rally driver, Harri “Rovis” Rovanperä, who raced in WRC from 1996 to 2003. That and his Finnish bloodline gives Kalle the perfect pedigree to become a star rally driver.
He’s so good that he essentially scares the life out of his female co-pilot as he speeds through a rally stage. She’s clearly terrified and braces herself for impact while trying not to distract him with her cries of panic.
