A burning tire benefit.
A while back, Chevrolet was raffling off a Corvette ZR1 Centennial Edition to help benefit the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation. To promote the upcoming event, Chevrolet had professional driver, Ryan Tuerck, get behind the wheel and leave his rubber footprint in the pavement.
The footage never ended up being commercially used, but they released it anyways, because who can say “no” to a ZR1 drift video? Tuerck took the ZR-1 for a drift at Autobahn Speedway in Joliet, IL, and put all 638 horsepower from the blown V-8 to the pavement and left a mark for all of us to remember. The Centennial Edition boasts special badges, trim pieces, wheels, and more to make a unique and collectable Corvette model.
