Hypercar Battle Time!
The team at Supercar Driver in the UK organized quite the hypercar shootout on the drag strip at Santa Pod earlier in October. The “Big Three” hybrid hypercars from McLaren, Ferrari, and Porsche each threw down the best they had on the drag strip to see who was the fastest.
For the big race, the club tried to give each car and driver the exact same conditions to ensure a proper test between the LaFerrari, 918 Spyder, and P1.
In the end, the Porsche 918 Spyder was the fastest car through the quarter-mile in terms of time with a 10.65-second run compared to the 10.90-second time of the P1 and 11.21-second time of the LaFerrari. The McLaren P1 had the fastest speed through the quarter-mile with 145.16 mph with the LaFerrari getting 142.47 mph and the 918 Spyder right behind with 142.46 mph.
Next up for the club and the “Big Three” is a 0-186 mph (300 km/h) drag race, so stay tuned!
