Flying into hyperspace.
In the world of quarter-mile drag racing, breaking the 10-second quarter-mile barrier with anything short of a modified race-spec vehicle is impressive. There are many highly-modified cars that can do it, but completing the feat in an unmodified car is quite the feat.
And the Porsche 918 Spyder can do it, even without a professional driver/drag racer.
Having a super-advanced, high-tech vehicle packed with 887 horsepower from a high-revving V-8 and two electric motors with launch control makes things a bit easier, but it’s still no easy task to break that 10-second mark through the quarter-mile.
In Meinerzhagen, Germany, it took this driver three attempts before he was able to break that mark.
