Hypercar Heavyweight Fight.
Get ready because this is probably going to be one of the biggest battles between two hypercars that you’ll see for a while. Thanks to GTBoard.com, a Porsche 918 Spyder with the lightweight Weissach Package and a Koenigsegg Agera R were able to do a couple of runs from 31- to 200 mph on an empty stretch of track.
Both cars have different ways of going fast with the Koenigsegg being powered by a 5.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine producing 1,200 bhp and 885 lb-ft. of torque while the 918 Spyder uses a hybrid V-8 engine to 887 horsepower and 940 lb-ft. of torque. The Swede is rear-wheel drive while the German is all-wheel drive.
Run one is pretty much a bust because the Porsche driver was not in the proper gear and therefore didn’t get off a good launch. In the second run, things are much closer and one car clearly shows its dominance.
