Blowing through the quarter-mile.
The new C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette is an impressive machine that can throw down with other supercars and exotics while flying the American flag proudly. While the Z06 variant is the king in the factory lineup with its supercharged engine, Hennessey Performance has their HPE700 supercharged upgrade for those that want more fun out of their naturally-aspirated Stingrays.
The most noticeable part of the new HPE700 upgrade from Hennessey Performance is the 2.3-liter supercharger that sits atop of the 6.2-liter LT1 V-8. After some new cylinder heads, camshafts, and all thenecessary components and tuning, the engine barrels out of the gate with 708 bhp at 6,300 RPM. That’s more than the top-of-the-line Z06 model from the factory with its supercharged engine.
With the considerable increase in power, the HPE700 Chevrolet Corvette can tear up the drag strip with its performance. The sprint to 60 mph takes just 2.9 seconds while the first 60 feet is covered in only 1.77 seconds. The quarter-mile gets buried in 10.97 seconds at a whopping 131.3 mph too, so there’s that as well.
That’s a serious amount of power and performance and it only gets better after adding on all of the options from monoblock forged wheels to new CarbonAero body work from Hennessey Performance.
And this just shows how much faster the HPE700 Corvette is compared to the stock model:
