Porsche GT3 Cup – Hill Climb Special.
The biggest story at the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb was the record-setting run made by Sebastian Loeb in his Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak. But, there was one run that was run that was absolutely unforgettable on that Sunday.
Coming in tenth overall was Jeff Zwart, driving a Luminon-sponsored Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Hill Climb Special outfitted with a monster turbocharger and all sorts of other goodies to tame the majestic mountain. Zwart achieved an impressive third place in the time attack class with a solid 10:13.856 time, but what really captured everyone’s attention was the movie filmed using his car.
The film, produced, directed, and edited by Will Roegge and company, is easily one of the most beautiful and impressive motorsport films of 2013. Using a number of different camera setups, Roegge and his team were able to capture the raw skill and challenges required to reach the top of Pikes Peak while showcasing the scenic beauty of the mountain.
