This car makes beautiful sounds.
This year is McLaren’s 50th anniversary and they’re going all-out for the occasion. At the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren put on quite the celebration with cars from throughout this history and one that’s quickly making history.
Formula One driver, Jensen Button, was the one who piloted the many stars of the show such as the M8D Can Am racer from the early 1970s and the new McLaren P1.
The talented driver got behind the wheel of the newest hybrid hyper car and sped through the course, stone-faced as ever, while his helmet-wearing passenger was bouncing around. The new 903 bhp P1 let out a classic McLaren exhaust note that made us forget about all that electric-hybrid-do-hickey mated to the engine.
