Wait, that’s a hybrid?
The Ferrari LaFerrari was one of the highlights of the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show in 2013. It has since captured the hearts and minds of both Ferrari and automotive enthusiasts around the globe, even if it is a hybrid and its name is a bit odd.
We’ve seen the Ferrari LaFerrari in the flesh at the auto shows, but it still isn’t 100-percent ready for public consumption and driving. So, the master of spy shots and exhaust notes, Marchettino, was able to capture the V-12 hybrid hyper car going through its paces around the Fiorano racetrack.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is capable of producing a total of 950 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. of torque using both the electric motor and 6.2-liter V-12 engine, allowing it to reach 62 mph in less than three seconds. It’s going to be a monster, and judging by the sounds in the video, will scream like one too.
