Making a ten-minute run look easy.
The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb is a dangerous, thrilling, and fast competition that pushes the limits of man and machine as they try to make it up a mountain in record time. The competition has seen many crashes and deaths due to its sharp turns and dirt surfaces, with this year’s event seeing one scary accident down the mountainside.
It’s an event where some of the bravest and skilled drivers apply their craft. Last year saw Monster Tajima and his 910 Hp Suzuki SX4 set a new World Record in the Unlimited Class. This year, Rhys Millen and team RMR broke that record by achieving a 9:46 run up the 12.42-mile course with a 700 horsepower Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
The run is quite an impressive feat, but watch out for the competition to be stiff next year as drivers try to break that record.
