Charging up the mountain!
OH NO, THE ELECTRIC ENGINES ARE TAKING OVER AND DESTROYING ALL THAT IS SACRED WITH CARS!!!
Relax, this shows that there’s no reason to be worried when our all-electric overlords enslave us and take away our internal combustion engines. Rhys Millen piloting the all-electric, Latvian-built Drive eO PP03 up Pikes Peak and beating out the competition armed with internal combustion engines just shows that they can (and will) be fun.
In all seriousness, Rhys Millen’s run behind the wheel of the built Drive eO PP03 is a very impressive feat and was the first time an all-electric car had achieved a class victory, beating out other internal combustion engines.
It just goes to show how fast technology is progressing. Whether you want to take that as a sign of the automotive apocalypse or not, is up to you, but a record-breaking 9:07.222 time is hard to argue against.
