Light ‘em up!
Spyker Cars has seen quite a bit of financial turmoil over the past few years and while their future has been very uncertain, their cars are a thing of beauty. What’s even more beautiful is when they’re shredding tires with Formula D driver, Ryan Tuerck, behind the wheel.
It’s easy to see why the Spyker C8 Aileron can light up the rear tires with ease. There’s an Audi-sourced, high-revving 4.2-liter V-8 engine spitting out 400 horsepower at 7,000 RPM and 354 lb-ft. of torque at 3,500 RPM. That’s good enough to reach a 187 mph top speed and sprint to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds. Not earth-shattering, but its exclusiveness and design surely are.
Watching Tuerck smoke those bad boys on the $300,000 Exotics Rally Spyker C8 Laviolette is one fun show.
