The final showdown.
The Super Car Driver team has been putting the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ferrari LaFerrari through a number of tests to determine just who is the fastest of the hyper car trio.
Their final test was a race from 0-186 mph at the Bruntingthorpe which has a slight 2.0-percent incline. The three cars used the factory settings in an effort to make the competition as close as possible.
After a blistering launch, the Porsche 918 Spyder was in the lead but lost it to the McLaren P1 and eventually the LaFerrari as 186 mph approached. At the end of the race, the McLaren P1 had taken home first with a 0-186 mph time of 20.11 seconds. The LaFerrari came in second with a 21.99-second time while the Porsche 918 Spyder was third with a 22.95-second time.
After the testing was concluded, the McLaren was determined to have the best all-around performance while the Ferrari was given the distinction of being the ‘most desirable’.
While this is by no means official, it gives you an idea of which one of these three can take home the gold.
