The 720-horsepower Shelby Mustang GT500 is no joke. Its supercharged 5.8-liter V-8 engine is ready to spin the rear tires at the push of the throttle. This also makes it the perfect candidate for stereotypical Mustang actions, like sliding around on the asphalt and hitting (or almost hitting) someone or something.
This race on a European drag strip in front of a considerable crowd is just another example of those slippery Mustangs losing control. Luckily, in the first run, the driver is able to bring the Shelby to a stop without hitting the car in the opposite lane.
After the close call, the Shelby Mustang GT500 and its driver proceeds to take back its man card by spanking some higher-priced German competition.
