AWD, 1,000+ HP Shootout!
Showing off sheer power in a straight line will never, ever get old. Underground Racing is one company that loves the straight-line drag race and the 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera built by them with a Stage 3 turbocharger kit loves to throw down.
At the latest OmegaMotorsport No Fly Zone 1/2-Mile Roll Racing event, the Gallardo, owned by Richard Fowler, owned the asphalt.
The Underground Racing Stage 3 Twin Turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera spits down 1,250 horsepower to the wheels. It was able to walk a new, stock Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, smoke a 700-horsepower Pontiac GTO, and beat out a 1,000 awhp AMS Alpha Ronin GT-R.
But the big test was the legendary 1,001 horsepower Bugatti Veyron. This titan of speed has been the benchmark for anything that dreams of being the fastest thing on four wheels for a decade. The two speed off from a roll and while the Bugatti took the early lead, it proved to be no match for the Gallardo.
That, folks is what speed looks like.
