The 458 Italia gets some extra German ponies.
Before the 458 Italia was introduced to the market, wheelsandmore tried to take on the Ferrari F430 with a slight performance and wheel package. After the success of the Italian sportscar program, the team at Wheelsandmore couldn’t wait to get their hands on the car’s successor.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is a purebred Italian stallion packing a potent mid-mounted 5.0-liter V-8 engine with 570 horsepower. wheelsandmore however, thought that the reins needed to be removed to unleash the full power of the beast. To achieve this, engineers developed a weight-optimized, handmade exhaust system with adjustable valve flaps and manifolds. To protect components from the intense heat of the exhaust gasses, the wheelsandmore 458 Italia utilizes thermic protection covers. Engineers further optimized the exhaust gas flow by upgrading the ECU. The result was a stout 620 horsepower and approximately 500 lb-ft. of torque, sending the mid-engined monster to 62 mph in just 3.32 seconds.
Putting all that power to the tarmac with stock wheels and tires proved to be a bit of a challenge. So, the wheelsandmore 458 Italia was fitted new 6Sporz² forged multi-piece wheels for their low weight and high strength properties. The lightweight wheels measure 9 x 21 at the front and a wide 12.5 x 21 at the rear, and are shod in 245/30/21 front and 345/25/21 rear Hankook high-performance tires. The handcrafted wheels can be further optioned with any color or finish along with custom design-apps mounted at the spoke openings.
The Wheelsandmore 458 Italia tuning program and wheel/tire package can be purchased together or as separate accessories. Pricing for both packages have not been released.
