Power and prestige are two characteristics that the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe exudes on the road and from the driver’s seat. WheelsandMore, however, was able to improve upon both aspects with some good ol’ fashioned engine upgrades and forged wheels.
To kick the project off, the WheelsandMore team focused their efforts on the 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. The hand-built motor was given a new pair of upgraded turbochargers featuring special bearings for more boost pressure. New air filters draw in more air with greater efficiency. Expelling gasses are larger downpipes with sport catalytic converters paired with a hand-made valve-flap exhaust system. The new exhaust can be altered at the push of a button to change the volume from diabolical to docile.
After a full-on software tune, the WheelsandMore Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe generates a whopping 792 horsepower and 848 lb-ft. of torque. That’s a significant improvement over the factory output of 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. of torque.
With the insane amount of power adding to the overall confidence on the road. WheelsandMore installed a new set of their forged wheels to complete the transformation. Here, the three-piece 6Sporz² wheels were installed with a matte black finish and contrasting hardware to draw attention. Up front, the 10.0 x 22 wheels wear grippy 265/30/22 Continental Sport Contact 6 tires while the rear boasts a wider 11.0 x 22 and 305/25/22 combo.
While the WheelsandMore upgrade package for the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe focuses on the wheels and engine, these relatively straightforward upgrades provide a huge difference in excitement.
