The sun is out, it’s pleasantly warm, and there’s a roaring V-10 sitting behind you. Does it get any better? It’s hard to beat the open-air summer driving experience of the wheelsandmore R-Stream Audi R8 V10 Spyder.
The stock R8 5.2 Spyder is a potent rag-top convertible, but wheelsandmore thought it could use a bit more power and a louder exhaust to fill the air with a glorious V-10 symphony. Engineers remapped the ECU and installed a stainless steel exhaust with adjustable valve flaps to increase the power and presence of the mid-engined convertible. The upgrades increase output by 75 horsepower and 44 lb-ft. of torque for a total of 600 horses and 435 lb-ft.
Putting that power to the road is a set of new forged wheels and a state-of-the-art suspension upgrade. wheelsandmore’s lightweight 6Sporz² three-piece forged wheel has been fitted at both the front and rear axle in a wide 9.5 x 20 size. The forged wheels help to reduce mass at the wheel hub for improved vehicle performance and wear 245/30/20 front and 295/35/20 rear Continental performance tires for added grip. Customers have the option to customize the 6Sporz² wheels in any color combination to match the exterior of their wheelsandmore R-Stream R8 Spyder. An advanced suspension system helps to sharpen handling and improve everyday drivability. The system utilizes an LCS (Level Control System) hydraulic lift to raise the R8 up to 40 mm to prevent scraping and damage over bumps and obstacles. The system also features separately adjustable rebound and compression damping for custom handling dynamics.
The body of the wheelsandmore R-Stream Audi R8 Spyder has been subtly modified to create an aggressive yet understated appearance. wheelsandmore has painted the front grille matte black and the exhaust tips enamel black. Customers can also choose to keep the bodywork stock, or paint the grille and exhaust tips a different color.
The wheelsandmore R-Stream Audi R8 V10 Spyder is currently available from the German tuner. Pricing for the accessories and complete package has not been released.
