This is why you rev in neutral.
If you have a super car/exotic then you’re going to want to show it off. It’s just too tempting and everyone enjoys a good blip of the throttle. Just make sure that you’re in neutral when you hit the throttle!
While at a stop light in London, the owner of a Porsche 918 Spyder with the Weissach package decided to rev the engine for all of the bystanders and people with cameras. The V-10 is utterly intoxicating, so why not, right?
Well, after a few revs, the driver forgot that he had put the 918 Spyder into gear. Upon hitting the throttle for another taste of V-10 glory, the car lurched forward. Thankfully, the driver was quick enough to hit the brakes, coming within a foot of rear-ending the taxi in front.
