Real-time performance data.
You’ve seen it before in video games like Forza and Gran Turismo; real-time performance data for your car. Now, Mercedes-Benz is getting into the mix with the new AMG Performance Media (APM).
The Mercedes APM provides the driver with up-to-the-millisecond information for almost every aspect of the car. The system has a few basic display screens while driving: G-Meter; Power; Traditional; and Race Track. These modes show a large number of variables including brake position, throttle, sector time, lap time, horsepower and torque outputs, G-forces, and more. The system can also be used to monitor tire pressure and vehicle temperatures.
To showcase the new video game-like system, Mercedes drove the SLS AMG around the Hockenheimring in Germany.
